everyday i'm instagramming

Yet another week gone by, oh 2012 how you're determined to speed through! Sometimes time pasts by so quickly I don't even remember what I had for dinner the day before, or what I did or where I went. Usually I have to check on twitter (lame, I know) but now I've been bitten by the instagram bug which I use on my ipad, (shitty quality cos there's no ipad supported format yet) and I feel like I should post something everyday! Since I rarely take photos with my camera and upload them now, instagram is the perfect app for capturing a photo a day. Seriously wishing I had an iPhone just for this app. Apple needs to pay these people some money, because I'm sure I'm not the only one. Instagram, Y U NO HAVE FOR BLACKBERRY???

Saint Valentine

So it's Valentine's Day tomorrow, and I'll be thankfully spending this marketing/hallmark card holiday with some awesome friends! But no, this special day for some and extremely un-special day for others (they call it Single Awareness Day, or S.A.D for short), is dear to me (a single lady ahem) because I have such fond memories of it. School day traditions, especially in an all girls school like Crescent Girls, of making cookies and cutting heart shapes out of everything, buying Gerbera daisies for all your best friends, and giving everyone you know some Hershey Kisses, have made recollections of Vday warm and fuzzy. Nevermind that we didn't have anyone special, because we had a WHOLE lot of special people, and Valentine's was a time for showing love, not just to a particular guy or girl but to everybody who has a cubby hole in your heart. Also, it happens to be my parents' anniversary, so it makes it an extra special day for my family! Most of my friends find it sweet that their anniversary is on Vday, but the truth is that it was chosen so my Dad would never forget (at least that is what my Mom says). This year, we celebrated it extra early because my parents are heading up to HongKong for a lil getaway, just the two of them. On Sunday we headed to Sky on 57 at MBS, and it was actually my first time on the top of the Sky Park. Awesome views all around!!! The food was pretty good actually, but my expectations were really low since most of the time, if the view is awesome the food is not-so-awesome. The appetizers in particular are ace. My bets are on the seared scallops, which were perfectly seared and cooked to perfection on the inside, and the Wagyu Carpaccio. For mains I had the roasted crackling pig but it was a major disappointment, ended up leaving half of it on the plate. My sis had the slow roasted lamb and everyone at the table was envious cos it was the yummiest!! Dinner together made for great family time, and I'm quite thankful I always celebrate Valentine's (whether in advance or otherwise) with my family.

Wishing everybody love!
